Seed of wonder

I could hardly sleep the night of May 29th. But this time it was joy and excitement that kept my mind racing. That was the day I was able to communicate with Emma for the first time and hear her voice come through the tips of her fingers onto the keyboard. We looked at each other in a moment of pure elation and joy. I can see that moment in my mind so clearly. A new world has opened up to us. My thankfulness poured through my soul that morning and it continues to flow over.

That first morning I wrote this poem.  I read it to Emma sometime later.

Me: “Do you know what I meant by ‘his glory’?”

Emma : God

Amazing!

    Sabra and Emma,

Thank you so much for sharing your conversations, your thoughts, your hopes….. Emma, you are so smart and beautiful. I have learned so much from the both of you. I am so thankful our paths crossed. Your granny is a pretty special lady too.

profound. beautiful. I feel like most of me is forming, tangled under ground. I love that part of your poem… it leads to the brilliance of new birth.
